Escape from the Classroom, Saturday 9 February 2013, University of Derby
Following a successful event in 2012, OPAL staff in the Midlands hosted another free one-day conference bringing people together to share ideas and build partnerships.
Delegates representing more than 40 organisations attended talks and interactive workshops on topics such as making the most of school grounds and using outdoor learning to ignite enthusiasm for maths.
Environmental organisations including the National Trust, the RSPB and the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trusts also exhibited at the event.
